savory kolaches

There has been a fair bit of build up to this. First, I had a wave of inspiration and I made blackberry kolaches, then I made American Cheese, today I finally got things together and made savory kolaches.

I changed things up a little, I quartered my polish sausages, and used American cheese instead of cheddar, I omitted the pickled jalapeno and used fresh  gypsy peppers instead.

Mine don’t look quite as amazing as the one in the recipe link, I didn’t do the 2nd coat of butter after they came out of the oven, and left them slightly pale so they could brown up a bit more when I re-heat them.

I have no regrets, I only wish I’d done this sooner.
