Father’s Day Adventures at O-Dark:30

The Dawn Patrol did not take off, it was too overcast, instead they put on a spectacular show on the ground.

This morning we left the house at O-Dark:30 (4:30), to see the balloons at the Sonoma County 25th Annual Hot Air Balloon Classic. It was overcast, cold, and way too early, but it was also so much fun.

Watching one of the balloons get moved and then deflated.

We met up with some friends around 5:30, and had a fun few hours watching the balloons. Around 8:00 we headed home, rather exhausted.

This balloon is called “Yellow Bird.” It is the stuff nightmares are made of.

Happy Father’s Day Gavin, thank you for being wonderful and making coffee for me at 4 am.
