My MIL enjoys sharing the story of how Gavin picked his sister’s name. He was six at the time, and “Megan” was a Sesame Street character and he liked the name so he suggested it. “Megan” proved to be the resoundingly popular choice, so Oliver has an Aunt Megan.
Oliver is no where near six yet, but I thought I should ask him for name suggestions anyway:
“Oliver, what do you want to name New Baby?”
Oliver: “Sachs!”
“Sachs?”
“Sachs!!!”
I’m sorry Oliver, but I’m pretty sure we’re not going to name New Baby “Sachs.”
Sachs is the word O uses for socks.
Hahaha! That’s a good story to share when both O and Baby 2.0 are older.
I think it must be an unwritten law that all parents must have a supply of hilarious stories to share about their children. Blackmail, anyone? 😀
So when the kid is born and can’t shake the nickname “Socks” you’d better hope Oliver isn’t pummeled for it =P
