This year I am thankful for many things:

  • my wonderful husband, who indulges my occasional whims and desires for more neat kitchen gadgets, and has seeming infinite patience with dealing with the toddler
  • my wonderful son who is now capable of independent play and following the occasional complex direction
  • our house, with two bathrooms, a laundry room, an oven that works, a dishwasher, and space to expand our little family
  • our extended family and friends for all their support
  • the local library that welcomed five bags of gently used books with open arms
  • that I am only baking a pumpkin cheesecake this year for Thanksgiving and not hosting the whole feast
  • for tile floors downstairs for when potty training mishaps occur
  • for baby gates that keep the toddler out, in and off the stairs when unaccompanied
  • for technology that lets us keep in touch with each other around the world

And a bunch of other things I don’t have time to list right now because Oliver wants some computer time as well.
