Over Memorial Day weekend Oliver got to meet his Grandparents in Houston. He also got to meet Great Oma (formerly just “Oma” we’re not sure what the Dutch term for Great-grandmother is, and we like how “Great Oma” sounds).
Friday morning we headed over, and Aunt Heidi was completely won over by the little fellow.
Grandpa Pete was also thrilled to meet Oliver. They sat together and Oliver practiced his grip on Pete’s fingers.
Grandma Irene and Oma were both quite taken with the little fellow as well. Irene was thrilled when Oliver zonked out in her arms, and they both enjoyed singing songs to him in Dutch.
On Saturday, Oliver was also introduced to his Great Uncles, John & Bernhard, his newly acquired Uncle Matt, and most of Uncle Matt’s immediate family.

In the afternoon, Oliver was on his Best Behavior during Heidi’s reception. That evening he hung out with everyone at the neighbor’s house where we were staying.
Over all, the weekend went very smoothly. Everyone enjoyed meeting Oliver, and, for the most part, Oliver seemed to enjoy meeting them.
