The Saturday before Easter we presented Oliver with his Easter Basket loaded full of goodies. A fluffy bunny, a cute chick, his very own car (a 1963 Opel Kadet A), Lindt chocolate bunnies, some Kindereier and other assorted candy.

When I told one of my friends about his basket (she asked about our Easter plans) she wanted to know why I’d spent the extra for Lindt, pointing out that when her kids were “that age” they’d get Hershey’s. I pointed out that at “that age” (2 1/2 months) no kid is going to get to eat the Lindt chocolate bunnies and I have a preference for decent chocolate. Next year, when he has teeth to eat the stuff it’ll be a different story.

On Sunday, we spent the day in Palo Alto visiting parents. Dulce has grand plans for an elaborate Easter Egg Hunt next year when Oliver is old enough to search for eggs on his own.
Oliver also got to meet Winston (the family dog). Winston was decidedly unimpressed by Oliver, and Oliver showed remarkably little interest in Winston.
As promised, here is a photo of the Icebox Oreo Cheesecake I made.

It was a little on the sweet side, and not quite the right consistency, but over all it was still very good.
