possible snow flurries and other ironies

This morning I called my parents to see what the weather would be like in Houston for our upcoming visit. My mom informed me that “your father is considering buying a snow shovel.”

Brilliant.

So I talked to Dad. Apparently, the optimists who do the weather forecast have predicted snow flurries for today, and possibly Thursday, with things warming up by Monday, just in time for us to fly out.

The weather is “cold, overcast and drizzily” in Houston, while out the office window here, we’ve got bright sunshine. No worries, when we get back the weather here is predicted to be slightly overcast and in the 50s.
